School #27 is located in the Hillcrest section of Paterson. The 69,019-square-foot facility houses 895 kindergarten through 8th grade students. The 2-story facility is comprised of thirty-one classrooms and was constructed in 1956. An eleven-room addition with a new science laboratory was recently added to the school building. Health and Safety work has been performed at the school. The work included new emergency and exit lighting system, installation of new heating and ventilating system throughout the building, restoration and cleaning of exterior building masonry, replacement of existing stair tower assembly and doors, classroom doors and hardware, replacement of lintels at exterior door and window locations, stage foot lights and roof. |
