School Facility Project: New / Addition / Alterations Description of Project: Manchester High School received several additions to enlarge the school. A 43,373-square-foot addition created new English, Computer, Small Group Instruction, Science, and Language classrooms, as well as Women and Men’s team locker rooms. The cafeteria was enlarged and the existing Science wing, Wood shop, TV studio, and Administrative offices were renovated. A new parking lot with access areas and storm drainage were added. The school has a new look from Colonial Drive, with new construction hiding most of the old front facade. The new wing gives the school a distinct front entrance where the main office is located, improving security at the school. Project was completed for full student occupancy September 2005. |
