The construction of a new kindergarten through 8th grade school on Main Street was awarded to Joseph A. Natoli Construction Corporation of Pine Brook, NJ in November 2002. Work is now complete for the new 123,768 square foot facility designed by the architectural firm of Yezzi Associates of Toms River, NJ. The school provides for smaller class sizes, self-contained pre-k classrooms and secure play area, computer and audio-visual technology, internet access, cafeteria, gym, auditorium, air conditioning, an elevator and security systems. Due to the lack of available land for parking, an underground parking garage to accommodate 48 vehicles is provided. Don Todd Associates was the project management firm that oversaw the construction project for the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation. On August 25, 2004 New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation (SCC) representatives joined Orange School District educators, area officials and community supporters for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Main Street K-8 Elementary School. The event featured an Open House and tour of the new facility. |
