First constructed in 1928, with additions added in 1958 and 1968, the Cleary Middle School had begun to show its age. The facility no longer met the needs of its 563 students. Therefore, the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation, in conjunction with the school district, set about rehabilitating the school. To this end, a project that added three pre-kindergarten classrooms and one small group instruction room to Cleary Elementary was completed in time for the beginning of the 2003-2004 school year. This project, which was designed by Manders/Merghi Associates, was built by Fabri Builders, Incorporated. URS was the project management firm. |
