NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
FOR FURNITURE, FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM

The New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation (the “Corporation”) is seeking Qualified Manufacturing Firms (QMF) to manufacture furniture, fixtures and equipment for School Facilities Projects to be constructed by the Corporation. The QMFs or their subcontractors will need to deliver and install the furniture, fixtures and equipment at the School Facilities Projects.

Completed responses for this RFQ must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Completed responses may be mailed or hand delivered as set forth below.

SUBMISSIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE ABOVE DATE AND TIMES WILL BE RETURNED UNOPENED.

Eligibility: The services sought in the RFQ are not subject to NJSCC pre-qualification requirements. Selections shall be based on qualifications presented. Firms must meet all requirements described in this announcement and the RFQ, by the due date.

Qualification Process: Non-responsive submissions will be rejected without evaluation. Responsive Submissions will be issued an RFP.

The Corporation has no obligation to short-list firms pursuant to the RFQ, and reserves the right to waive any non-material defects, reject any or all Qualifications or Proposals for any reason, or terminate the selection process in part or in its entirety at any time.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 and any regulations promulgated thereunder.

SBE Targets: The selected QMF(s) shall be required to make good faith efforts to ensure that small business enterprises (“SBEs”) have the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in the performance of the engagement, at the 25% target established by the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission, at N.J.A.C. 12A:10-1.1 et seq., and in Executive Order No. 71 (2003). More information on this requirement is set forth in the RFP.
