NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
FOR FURNITURE, FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM

The New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation ("Corporation"), a subsidiary of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority ("NJEDA"), is seeking to obtain Proposals from ONLY manufacturing firms to deliver and install furniture, fixtures and equipment, which have been manufactured by such firms for School Facilities Projects to be constructed by the Corporation in various school districts throughout New Jersey.

The Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") for furniture and equipment is available starting at noon on Monday, March 17, 2003 on the NJSCC website at www.njscc.com/projects or for pick-up between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the reception desk of the offices of the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation, Second Floor, 1 West State Street (the First Union Bank Building), Trenton, New Jersey 08625.

Completed responses for this RFQ must be received by 2:00 p.m. on the closing date of Friday, April 4, 2003. Completed responses may be mailed or hand delivered as set forth below.

SUBMISSIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE ABOVE DATE AND TIMES WILL BE RETURNED UNOPENED.

Eligibility: The services sought in the RFQ are not subject to NJEDA pre-qualification requirements. Selections shall be based on qualifications presented. Firms must meet all requirements described in this announcement and the RFQ, by the due date.

Set Aside: Firms engaged pursuant to the RFQ shall ensure that Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), minority-owned businesses (MBEs), and women-owned businesses (WBEs) have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of their contractual obligations, and shall make a good-faith effort to achieve the NJEDA set aside goals of 15% SBE, 7% MBE, and 3% WBE.

Selection Process: Non-responsive submissions will be rejected without evaluation. Submissions will be evaluated based on the criteria listed in the RFQ.

The Corporation has no obligation to short-list firms pursuant to the RFQ, and reserves the right to waive any non-material defects, reject any or all Qualifications or Proposals for any reason, or terminate the selection process in part or in its entirety at any time.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 and any regulations promulgated thereunder.
