On April 29, 2004, the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation ("NJSCC") will be electronically selecting a short list of firms which will be invited to submit Technical and Fee Proposals for the design of the project(s) described below:

Minimum Rating: $15,000,000


Design and Construction Administration Services for a new PK-8 School(Harriet Tubman) with an overall gross area of 95,556 GSF to house approx. 500 students and to provide Life Safety Work and eight temporary classrooms units (TCU) to St. Rocco's School. St. Rocco's will be used as a swing space during the replacement of the existing Harriet Tubman.

In order to be included in the selection process, a firm must be prequalified by the NJSCC in the above discipline and have a minimum rating of $15,000,000 on or prior to April 28, 2004.

The Consultant must be a firm prequalified by the NJSCC in the following areas or have sub-consultants prequalified by the NJSCC in the following areas:

  • HVAC Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Plumbing Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering

The NJSCC will not permit Sub-consultants of a Regional PMF, who provides services to the above school district, to be engaged as a Prime or Sub-consultant for this engagement. .

  • Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), pertaining to affirmative action and equal employment opportunity.

    The bidder agrees it shall make a good faith effort to meet the requirements of the SBE Utilization Attachment contained in the Contract Documents in order to ensure that small business enterprises, as defined in that attachment and in applicable regulation, have the maximum opportunity to compete for and perform subcontracts.

    The NJSCC encourages the contractor to provide opportunities to SBE firms to participate in the performance of this engagement, consistent with NJSCC’s SBE set aside goals of 25% with 5% to businesses registered in the category of gross revenues that do not exceed $1 million; and 10% of businesses registered in the category of having gross revenues exceeding $1 million consistent with the standards established at 13 C.F.R. 121.201; and 10% to businesses in either category.
