PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT
On April 2, 2004, the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation ("NJSCC") will be electronically selecting a short list of firms which will be invited to submit Technical and Fee Proposals for the design of the project(s) described below:

Minimum Rating: $5,000,000 - $20,000,000
This project is the demolition of a three-story, 25,916 sq. ft., 1928 building wing. In addition, it is anticipated that there will be asbestos and LBP abatement. Design and construction administration services for a 20,400 sq. ft. replacement educational space. This replacement will consist primarily of a new cafeteria, kitchen, media center and 8 general classrooms. Renovate approximately 9,000 sq. ft. of the 1958 and 1968 building wings. The Cafeteria/Kitchen will be converted to the new media center and technical lab. The existing media center will be converted to administration space.
In order to be included in the selection process, a firm must be prequalified by the NJSCC in the above disciplines and have a rating between $5,000,000 to and including $20,000,000 on or prior to April 1, 2004.
The Consultant must be a firm prequalified by the NJSCC in the following areas or have sub-consultants prequalified by the NJSCC in the following areas:
- HVAC Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
The bidder agrees it shall make a good faith effort to meet the requirements of the SBE Utilization Attachment contained in the Contract Documents in order to ensure that small business enterprises, as defined in that attachment and in applicable regulation, have the maximum opportunity to compete for and perform subcontracts.
The NJSCC encourages the contractor to provide opportunities to SBE firms to participate in the performance of this engagement, consistent with NJSCC’s SBE set aside goals of 25% with 5% to businesses registered in the category of gross revenues that do not exceed $1 million; and 10% of businesses registered in the category of having gross revenues exceeding $1 million consistent with the standards established at 13 C.F.R. 121.201; and 10% to businesses in either category.
