On September 10, 2003, the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation ("NJSCC") will be electronically selecting a short list of firms which will be invited to submit Technical and Fee Proposals for the design of the project(s) described below:

Complete design and construction services for a 3-story classroom addition of 6,750 GSF and an alteration/renovation of further 116,214 GSF on floors Basement through 3. Coordinate work with 4th floor IBOE offices Fit-Out, Re-roofing and Health & Safety projects designed by others. Alteration/renovation work will include Architectural, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, BAS and other low voltage systems, installation of a new fire sprinkler system, modifications to existing fire alarm system, new mechanical plant in the basement, completion of exterior facade work not done by predecessors, exterior site work including playgrounds and sport fields, parking areas, hazardous materials abatement, foundations and structural work for new addition and as required for rehabilitation work, exterior facade and roofing work for new addition, new elevator, ADA compliance issues where not completed by predecessors, communications, IT and FF&E with more than 10 years ofuseful life.

In order to be included in the selection process, a firm must be prequalified by the NJSCC in the above discipline and rating on or prior to September 9, 2003.

The Consultant must be a firm prequalified by the NJSCC in the following areas or have sub-consultants prequalified by the NJSCC in the following areas:

  • HVAC Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Plumbing Engineering

Proposals will be evaluated based upon the following criteria:

  1. Understanding of the project;
  2. Team experience;
  3. Experience of key team members;
  4. Appropriateness of staffing;
  5. Project approach;
  6. The Firm's approach to maintaining the schedule and
  7. The Firm's approach to maintaining the budget.
