Martin Luther King School is a 3-story 93,535-square-foot facility housing 208 kindergarten through 8th grade students. The 33-classroom facility was built in 1980 with an addition constructed in 1999. Health and Safety work has been performed at the school. The work included reuse of the existing boiler and replacement of all piping, terminal units, and component equipment, new emergency and exit lighting system, exhaust fans, existing stair tower assembly and doors, classroom doors and hardware, windows, roof, lintels at exterior door and window locations, restoration and cleaning of exterior building masonry and repair to the existing drainage system in front of main building entrance. The 23,390-square-foot center currently houses 140 kindergarten students. It is 1-story facility comprised of 7 classrooms. |
