Public School #18 is an 87,487-square-foot facility that houses 680 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 8th. The 3-story facility is comprised of 30 classrooms, 2 special education rooms and 1 science demonstration room. The school was constructed in 1938. Health and Safety work has been performed at the school. The work included new emergency and exit lighting system, restoration and cleaning of exterior building masonry, replacement of existing stair tower assembly and doors, classroom doors and hardware, windows, exhaust fans, lintels at exterior door and window locations and roof repair and a major asbestos abatement program. |
