Public School #8 is a 3-story 68,474-square-foot facility comprised of 27 classrooms housing 546 kindergarten through 8th grade students. The building was constructed in 1926. Health and Safety work has been performed at the school. The work included a complete new heating and ventilating system throughout the building, provided localized air conditioning systems, new emergency and exit lighting systems, replacement of existing stair tower assembly and doors, windows, lintel at exterior door and window locations, electrical sub-distribution panels, repairs to roof and electrical system to accommodate additional capacity required for present and future loads. |
