Public School #2 is a 25-classroom facility built in 1921. It is currently a 75,533-square-foot facility that currently houses 599 kindergarten through 8th students. Health and Safety work has been performed at the facility. The work included the installation of a new heating and ventilating system throughout the building, the reuse of the existing boiler and replacement of all piping, terminal units, and component equipment. It also included new emergency and exit lighting system, replacement of existing stair tower assembly and doors, classroom doors and hardware, window, stage foot lights, lintels at exterior door and window locations, restoration and cleaning of the exterior building masonry and roof replacement. |
