The brand-new 72,000 square-foot elementary school built in Barnegat Township was designed by The Vaughn Collaborative. The facility is a one and 1/2 story building intended for 526 students. The design included approximately 25 classrooms, as well as specialized education spaces such as a media center, art and music rooms, a cafetorium and a gymnasium, kitchen and administrative offices. Site work included earthwork and grading, landscaping, parking areas, driveways, sidewalks and the Rose Hill road extension. Hessert Corporation was awarded the general construction contract for this project October 5, 2006. Armand Corporation provided Construction Management services. The occupancy date was September 2008. |
