Neptune’s new one-story Early Childhood Center opened its doors in April 2004. This opening was the end result of more than two years of planning and construction. It provides the community of Neptune with a quality facility for 270 pre-kindergarten students. Inside the building are eighteen classrooms, gym/cafeteria, media center, and computer lab. Outside, there is a new playground and lighting. Kellenyi Johnson Wagner, designed the conversion of a 30,000 square-foot office building to space that is suitable for an Early Childhood Center, as well as a 15,000 square-foot addition to the same structure. The Hall Building Corporation constructed the center under the management of Gilbane Building Company. |
