Gables Elementary School is a single-story, 34,800-square-foot facility housing 470 students. Renovations to the Gables Elementary School work included new ceilings, casework and lighting as well as new HVAC equipment in the oldest portion of the building (13 classrooms, restroom, guidance office). The remaining building areas will be upgraded mechanically to add air conditioning. Construction began in late January 2004 by the Hall Building Corporation. The project was completed for the September 2005 school's opening. Gilbane Building Company managed the construction of the facility that was designed by SSP Architectural Group, Inc. |
