Improvements at the school included construction of a one story 8,300- square-foot two-classroom addition as well as the renovation of 20,000 square feet of the existing building. These renovations, designed by Todd Geter Architect, converted the pre-k to 5th grade facility to a school that is suitable for the use of pre-k to 8th grade students, in order to comply with the requirements set forth in the school district’s long range planning. The required work consisted of the renovation of several existing rooms, the replacement of the existing combination gymnasium/auditorium/cafeteria with a new one-story cafeteria/kitchen addition, and the construction of two new classrooms on a second floor roof. The project also included required modifications to the existing building, HVAC, plumbing, and the electrical system. The project’s contractor was the Fletcher-Harlee Corporation. Construction began in August of 2003, and it was completed by September 2005. Hill International was the Project Management Firm. |
