The new facility consists of a new two-story 40,405-square-foot early childhood center located at the corner of JFK Blvd and 22nd Street. The school can accommodate approximately 260 pre-school students ages 4 to 5. Phase one of the project was completed in December 2004 and involved demolition of the existing building, site preparation, and rock removal. Phase two involved the construction of the Early Childhood Center by Brockwell and Carrington. Phase three of the project involved the demolition of three additional properties and development of playground and parking area. The Early Childhood Center opened in September 2007. Rivardo*Schnitzer*Capazzi, AIA (PA) designed the project. Turner Construction is managed the project.
