The Park Avenue Elementary School is a kindergarten through 8th grade student facility. This school project called for the construction of a 68,527-square-foot, two- and three-story addition to the existing 32,829-square-foot, two-story Park Avenue School that was renovated. The new addition consisted of eight classrooms, a cafeteria, a library/media center, a gymnasium and an administrative office. The work also included two playgrounds and a parking lot. The new 101,356-square-foot facility accommodates 383 students. Slavco Construction, Inc. was the demolition contractor for the school site. Hilt Construction Inc. was procured for the swing space renovation of Mount Carmel School and Annex building that was used as swing space for administration and students during the construction and renovation work at the Park Avenue Elementary School. Patel/Yezzi Associates, LLC designed the project that was constructed by Hall Building Corporation. The school opened in September 2009. |
