The new 74,000-square-foot elementary school located at Lincoln Avenue and Menantico Road provides state-of-the-art educational opportunities for 556 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. It includes 4 Kindergarten classrooms; 20 general classrooms; 8 resource classrooms; 3 special education classrooms; classrooms for speech, science, enrichment, music, art and computers; occupational and physical therapy area, cafeteria, media center, gym. Manders/Merighi Associates designed the new elementary school. A groundbreaking on April 23, 2005 marked the beginning of construction by Fred M.Schiavone Construction Company Inc. Gilbane Building Company is the project management firm. The school was completed in time for the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year. |
