Description of Project: New Construction The addition to the Cold Springs Elementary School was completed in May 2004 with the children making full use of the facilities immediately. This project is a 2-story addition for early childhood education. This addition created 44,148 square feet of space to be used for 21 pre-kindergarten classrooms, a multi-purpose room and a kitchen. 315 students now occupy the facility. The addition has a similar design to that of the existing building. Chapin Architectural Services, P.A. was in charge of the design, Sambe Construction Company the general contractor, and Gilbane Building Company the project management firm. |
