This school is 50,625 square feet, and accommodates up to 405 pre-kindergarten students. There are 27 classrooms and two multi purpose rooms. The school features three learning sectors with a controlled play area with playground equipment connected to each sector.
Perkins Eastman of New York, NY designed the school. TAK Construction Inc. was the general contractor. Epic Management Inc. was the construction manager. The school opened in September 2009 and was formally named after Edmund Hmieleski Jr., who served 15 years on the Perth Amboy school board, including 11 as president. The facility is located on Amboy Avenue.
